Imported LVG with a total value of less than RM500 per consignment had been exempted from sales tax up until this point. Under the new law, all goods from overseas will be subjected to a sales tax with a flat rate of 10% [pdf]. Even though the new law is already in place right now, the government will only begin to collect the tax starting from 1 April 2023. At the moment, Customs will be focusing on getting sellers registered on its MyLVG system....

In case you missed the news, it was recently discovered that there is a flaw within the fingerprint scanner on these devices which allows them to be unlocked by anyone when a third party screen cover is applied. The fingerprint scanner flaw has caused a number of banks in the US and South Korea to disable their app on the Galaxy S10 devices. This didn’t come as shocking though since this flaw can be considered as a major security issue due to risks of unauthorized transactions....

Since the onboard processor is the only new addition, let’s start with that. Powering the Galaxy A52s 5G is a mid-range 5G-enabled Snapdragon 778G, which is considerably faster than the Snapdragon 750G of the original and comes with the new Adreno 642L graphics accelerator as well. Specifically, the Malaysian variant of the Galaxy S20 Ultra only able to support sub-6 5G network according to the Malaysia-specific specs sheet that we’ve received earlier this week.
