007 Producer Says James Bond Can Be Any Colour But Has To Be Male

Interestingly enough, James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli has made it very clear that Bond can be of any colour but he has to be a man. In an interview with Variety, she said: This makes perfect sense. Instead of taking the James Bond mantle and just giving it to a woman, it’ll be far more interesting a new character that happens to be female, with her own ticks and flaws, take up the 007 mantle. In fact, this sort of puts a piece of news we wrote about all the way back in July, into perspective. A source told Daily Mail: “There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says ‘Come in 007’, and in walks Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman.” Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel) is part of the No Time to Die cast, playing a character named Nomi.
