As compared to the original model which made its debut at IFA 2018, the new Predator Thronos Air is much lighter than its predecessor although still quite hefty with the cabin alone weighing at 150kg. At the same time, its chair weights at around 30kg.
Aside from its design, another characteristic that made it vastly different from the original Predator Thronos is the fact that it comes with massage function. Not only that, the chair which can be taken out from the cabin also comes with heater function. Just like the original model, the Predator Thronos’ monitor arm is able to support up to three monitors. It also comes with an adjustable keyboard and mouse tray as well as a footrest. Depending on respective markets, customers can also choose to add accessories into it such as USB hub, camera, cup holder, and headset holder.
Naturally, the Predator Thronos Air doesn’t come cheap as it carries a starting price tag of USD 13,999 (~RM 58,800). Acer plans to release the new “gaming cave” in Q4 2019 although it is not yet known at the moment whether Predator Thronos Air will be making its way to Malaysia or otherwise.
