Alleged details of the Windows 11-driven Surface Pro X comes by way of an Energy Star certifications list. The list specifies the model name of the Surface device and operating system, but more importantly, it also lists down a Qualcomm Snapdragon SQ2 as the CPU, which is an ARM-based processor. On a related note, it should be pointed out that the SQ2 is being used in the current Surface Pro X, which leads to believe that this could simply be a placeholder, at least until an official announcement. The list also says that the new Surface Pro X will have 16GB RAM.
Beyond that, there are no further specification details of the new Surface Pro X, not even about its display size, weight, storage capacity, or even battery life. As a quick recap, though, the current version of Microsoft’s ARM-powered laptop sports a 13-inch display and a choice between 256GB or 512GB of storage. Additional rumours have also hinted at the possibility of Microsoft upgrading the display to one with 120Hz refresh rate, but again, it’s best to take this rumour with a very large grain of salt.
