Inside, you still get the same 24MP sensor from the 200D, but Canon’s latest DIGIC 8 image processor promises better image processing. The swinging 3-inch 1.04 million dot LCD is also from the older model, and comes with touch capabilities.
You get 5 fps burst mode, the standard Canon EOS EF mount to mount any lens from the EF family, and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity to transfer images out to smartphones wirelessly. Canon included the 4K recording mode from the EOS M50 mirrorless model in the 250D, but be forewarned; it has a disappointingly large crop at that resolution. Recording at 1080p60 is there, but not for slow-motion recording. Thankfully, there is a microphone port to plug in your mic.
Canon is offering the new EOS 250D in body-only or with the EF-S 18-55 f/4-5.6 IS STM lens. The former will be priced at US$599.99 (~RM2464) and the latter is expected to be priced at US$749.99 (~RM3080). Availability for the EOS 250D is expected to start from April onwards, in either Black, Silver or White with Malaysia pricing and availability to be determined later. (Source: Canon, DPReview)
