ORIGINAL STORY (10:20 PM): Numerous Digi customers throughout the country have reported network disruption in their areas. As the telco has yet to make any specific announcement regarding it, the nature of disruption is unclear at the moment. That being said, our observations through Twitter showed the majority of customers that had posted about the disruption stated that their Digi connection suddenly went out of service without any warning. Further search through Twitter also showed that the disruptions may have started sometime before 7:45 PM.

— Digi (@digitelco) May 4, 2021 The only acknowledgement from the telco regarding the service disruption is the above reply from its customer service agents. At the time this article was published, the customer service reps remain busy responding to disgruntled customers which only mean that this round of disruption has been going on for more than 2 hours. We are now reaching out to Digi for further clarification and will keep you posted once we hear more from the telco. UPDATE (11:35 PM):  Digi has released an official statement in regards to the network disruption experienced by its customers throughout the country: The timeframe mentioned in the statement above seemed rather off though as Digi’s customer service agents were still talking about technical difficulties way after 10:00 PM. By right, the rectification should have happened much earlier. Our 24-Hour Response Team worked promptly to identify and resolve the issues, resulting in service recovery within slightly more than one hour. We humbly apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused, and thank them for their patience and understanding. Nevertheless, Digi customers out there may want to restart their devices and verify if the service has returned back to normal.
