The video was uploaded to Twitter by regular leakster Roland Quandt, who later provided more details of the Osmo Mobile 4 on WinFuture. Unlike its predecessor which required users to slide their smartphones into a claw mount, the new gimbal now allows for quick and easy mounting via magnets.

— Roland Quandt (@rquandt) August 25, 2020 As demonstrated in the video, users will have a choice of attaching two different magnetic connectors to their phones. The first being a phone ring-styled rear attachment, and the other is a mounting bracket. Obviously the first option will require the use of adhesive, while the latter is more of a temporary affair. Regardless, these connectors ensure a quick and snappy mounting process onto the OM 4.

In terms of other features; the DJI OM 4 offers 3-axis stabilisation, a battery capacity of 2,450mAh (chargeable via USB-C), Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and a slew of software-based video capture modes. As for the latter, the gimbal’s companion app provides features such as gesture control, hyperlapse, Active Track 3.0, an Alfred Hitchcock-like dolly zoom effect, and the ability to track and zoom to a subject as the camera moves further away via DynamicZoom. According to Quandt, the DJI Osmo Mobile 4 will allegedly retail around EUR150 (~RM740). He added that its launch is expected to be held by the company sometime soon.
