From the visual release of the e-bicycle, we can tell that it has a similar frame to that of the company’s model of Mosh/Cty. However, unlike its predecessor, the new product is installed with Michelin E-Wild tyres and a “spine-saving, shock-absorbing” SR Suntour NCX suspension seat post. Harley-Davidson explains that it came up with this design in order to do away with “fussy suspension” tuning and “finicky drivetrain” adjustments. Just “two wheels, one gear, and one purpose, to provide the most direct connection between you and the trail”, as the company puts it. Its design notwithstanding, the Bash/Mtn is also installed with a merged, yet removable 529Wh battery that can take the rider between a range of 48km to 153km, depending on the ride mode. And yes, the battery is rechargeable. That being said, being a class 1 e-bicycle, it has no throttle, and one you’ve gotten up to a speed of 32km/h, the bike will stop providing assistance. The Serial One has yet to give a power rating, but with the 90Nm of torque, the Bash/Mtn certainly will help the user make their way through steep hills without much effort, if any at all. Lastly, the Bash/Mtn retails at US$3999 (~RM 17568), which makes it evident that the price of the new release is a hefty one. It is also worth mentioning that the Serial 1 application will exhibit all data and other metrics in regards to travel to the consumer. Sadly, Harley Davidson did say that only 1050 units of the Bash/Mtn will be produced, with 525 units set for sale in the US whereas the other half will be within Europe.
