In terms of exterior design, nothing has really changed when compared to last year’s ZBook Firefly G7. The main differences would be their processors as the ZBook Firefly G8 now comes with 11th Gen Intel Core processors and up to NVIDIA T500 graphics.
Weighing at just 1.35kg, the base model for the 14-inch variant of ZBook Firefly G8 has a starting price of RM5,959, which is inclusive of a Full HD IPS panel, Intel Core i5-1135G7, 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM, 256GB PCIe NVMe M.2 solid state drive, and NVIDIA Quadro T1000 graphics with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM. On another hand, the base model for the 15-inch model also carries a Full HD IPS panel and Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor but has 8GB DDR4-3200 RAM, 512GB solid state drive, and NVIDIA T500 4GB graphics instead. It also carries a slightly higher price tag of RM6,133.
According to the global announcement, the Firefly G8 supports Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 5G modem but based on what we saw at HP Malaysia’s website, this particular option is not being offered in our market. Not much loss there though, given that the 5G network in Malaysia is not publicly accessible yet for the time being. The ZBook Firefly G8 is now readily available through HP Malaysia’s online store but for those who require tailor-made units for their organisation, the company recommends them to reach out via HP For Business Hotline at 03-7627 6550 to discuss further.
