As the names imply, the MateBook D 14 is equipped with a 14-inch display, while the MateBook D 15 is equipped with a larger 15.6-inch display. It’s a given that both laptops will be released in multiple variations of different RAM and storage capacities, as well as different Intel chips – but in an interesting turn of events, Huawei will also be releasing a variation of these devices equipped with AMD’s Ryzen processors as well. The Intel variant of the MateBook D 14 features a 10th gen Intel i5 or i7 CPU, while the Ryzen version is equipped with an AMD Ryzen R5 CPU. All variants are equipped with RAM choices of either 8GB or 16GB, and a 512GB SSD. The MateBook D 14 measures at 15.9mm thick and weighs 1.38kg.

The MateBook D 15 is also packed with the same Intel or Ryzen processors and RAM choices as its 14-inch sibling, while its storage consists of a standard loadout of 256GB HDD + 1TB SSD across all of its variations. The MateBook D 15 measures at 16.9mm thick and weighs 1.62kg. Both laptops features Windows 10, a fingerprint scanner for quick login, a pop-up webcam in the keyboard, and 65W fast charging support via USB-C. Only the Intel-equipped MateBooks are paired with a NVidia MX250 GPU. The starting prices for the Intel and Ryzen versions of the MateBook D 14 are from CNY5199 (~RM3090) and CNY3999 (~RM2378) respectively, while the MateBook D 15 versions are from CNY5299 (~RM3150) and CNY3999 (~RM2378) respectively. Sales for the laptops are scheduled to begin on 12 December in China, while a global release has not been planned by Huawei just yet. (Source: Huawei via GizChina // Top image: Huawei)
