That being said, the company pointed out that users can actually utilise Huawei Pay via the Huawei Wallet app in selected Huawei devices all over the world. This is as long as the payment terminals are able to support NFC and UnionPay QuickPass. Given the collaboration, the only bank in Malaysia that supports Huawei Pay at the moment is the local division of ICBC. In addition to that, the only ICBC Malaysia card that you can use with Huawei Pay, for now, is the UnionPay credit card. Since the bank also offers UnionPay debit card and Visa credit card, make sure you ask for the correct card from ICBC Malaysia if you are planning to utilise the Huawei Pay feature. Meanwhile, Huawei has provided us with a list that contains some of the brands and merchants that already support Huawei Pay in Malaysia although as mentioned earlier, the contactless payment system can generally be used on NFC payment terminals that accept UnionPay cards:
