Of course, considering that hosting such event in these fluid times will require the event to adopt even stricter safety and precautionary measures, there is a catch: this year, IFA 2020 will be an invite-only event, meaning that there will only be a limited number of attendees allowed during the 3-day event. Having said that, IFA 2020’s organisers are promising that those who are not invited will still be offering the world “virtual opportunities” to interested parties around the world. On a related note, this year’s IFA 2020 keynote will be given by Christiano Amon, President of Qualcomm. Apart from the usual press conference, this year’s event will also be the first time that IFA merges two of its events, NEXT and SHIFT Mobility into a single event.

It’s hard to say if we ourselves will be given a chance to attend the event, given the ongoing travel restrictions and the invite-only nature of IFA 2020. In any case, we’ll definitely be bringing you updates that come out during the event, so keep a look out then. (Source: IFA Berlin // Image: GizmoChina)
