During a sit-down with ComicBook.com to promote his upcoming movie, A Quiet Place Part 2, Krasinski was asked about the possibility of him ever slipping into the flexible role as the leader of The Fantastic Four, to which he replied: The actor also expressed a similar excitement when asked if he would direct a superhero film for Marvel Studios.

It’s worthy to note that way back before Chris Evans was cast as The Star-Spangled Man in Captain America: The First Avenger, Krasinski himself was one of the primary contenders for the role. However, he opted out once he saw Chris Hemsworth’s abs, deeming himself unworthy of such a Super-Soldier physique. Emily Blunt too had a similar close-call with the MCU, having been initially cast as Natasha Romanoff in Iron Man 2, but pulled away from the project, instead, committing to her work on Gulliver’s Travels with Jack Black. Gee, I wonder how that one turned out? No worries though, as the couple are doing great with their cinematic work. However, it would really be great if their husband-wife dynamic could be utilised in such a reboot. The Fantastic Four is, in essence, just like Fast and Furious, minus the fast cars, definitely more furious space, and most certainly a whole cosmic spoonful of “family”. And somebody please get Rainn Wilson in as The Thing… (jk. Would be priceless to have Reed stick ol’ Rockhead in some Jell-O tho’). You can catch John Krasinki’s A Quiet Place Part 2 as it creeps into cinemas on the 19th of March.
