Officially known as the Leica D-Lux 7 A BATHING APE X STASH Limited Edition (a lot of caps, we know), the camera is offered in black or silver finishes for its upper base body, buttons, dials, and lens. Regardless of which, the featured BAPE X STASH decorations remain consistent all across. Speaking of which, covering a majority of the limited edition D-Lux 7 is BAPE’s signature “ABC Camo” pattern, which is presented in a combination of beige, brown, light green and olive green. Meanwhile, found on the left side of the camera’s upper body is STASH’s signature and situated on the right is, of course, Leica’s iconic red dot logo. Also included together with the product is a special embossed rope strap with BAPE and STASH branding, as well as a special designed dust bag. It’s also worth adding that the included lens cap will be different depending on which variant of the limited edition Leica D-Lux 7 that you’re going for. More specifically, the black finish gets an embossed BAPE logo on its automatic lens cap, while the silver version features a white “BAPE X STASH” print. Meanwhile, the limited edition’s internal hardware itself is indifferent from the regular Leica D-Lux 7 that’s been available in the market since its initial launch four years ago. Intact is its 17MP four-thirds sensor, integrated Vario-Summilux 24-75 mm f/1.7-2.8 optically stabilised lens, 1.24MP rear touch display, and built-in Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. Additionally, the camera is capable of capturing videos at 4K 30 fps and 1080p 60 fps. According to the brand’s local website, the new Leica D-Lux 7 A BATHING APE X STASH is available now for a recommended retail price of RM 7,140. Being a limited edition release, the company is only producing a total of 1,850 units worldwide. (Source: Leica [PR Newswire] / Leica Malaysia [1] [2])
