The Windows Terminal app includes multiple tab support, plus themes and customisations for the budding developer seeking to personalise and make the app more suited to their taste. That said, The Verge points out that you will need to edit a JSON (JavaScript Open Notation) file before you can go all out with the customisations options. It’s expected, given that the app is still in its early preview, and not a proper app yet. Additionally, Terminal also supports GPU-based text rendering, as well as emojis. Plus, because text-rendering on the app is DirectX-driven, developers will be able to utilise the regular characters and symbols that are currently available on the PC.

For the record, the Windows Terminal app is also downloadable via the GitHub community pages, and Microsoft has specified that its version of Terminal will run side-by-side with the build that’s released on GitHub. (Source: Microsoft via The Verge)
