Uploaded on Twitter by a different leakster known as “snoopytech” is a leaked promotional video showcasing the expected features of the new Fitbit smartband. Among those presented include GPS tracking, built-in workouts, ECG capabilities, and the brand’s EDA (electrodermal activity) feature which could detect an individual’s level of stress.
— Snoopy (@snoopytech) August 22, 2021 A feature that’s newly introduced to the Charge 5 (as well as other Fitbit wearables) is the Daily Readiness Score app and subscription. As demonstrated in the video, the new feature scores your recorded exercise history, sleep and heart rates, and would also automatically recommend what kind of activities you should do during the day. For instance, if your stats are shown to exhibit fatigue, the app would recommend you to take most of the day off to recover. Otherwise, it would recommend less taxing activities such as yoga, and suggests heavier workouts if your current fitness score is higher. The Daily Readiness Score feature is expected to be part of Fitbit’s Premium subscription, which costs US$10 (~RM42) a month or US$80 (~RM337) a year. According to snoopytech, the upcoming Fitbit Charge 5 may retail at US$179 (~RM755). However, it was not revealed when the new wearable is expected to launch. But seeing that materials such as the device’s renders and promotional video, an official unveiling or launch by Fitbit might not be too far off. (Source: snoopytech [Twitter])
