According to Nike, the shoes are equipped with specially designed motor and gear (shown below) that automatically senses the amount of fit that the wearer needed when he or she puts on the shoes. Through the shoes’ FitAdapt technology, the wearer can then customize the fit level at any given time using either the manual buttons on the shoes or through a phone app.
The phone also allows Adapt BB shoes to receive new firmware updates from time to time which would help improve their fit further and provide additional features. In terms of build, the Adapt BB shoes feature upper areas that are made from a combination of Flyknit and QuadFit mesh while their midsoles are equipped with Cushlon foam.
In order to keep the motorized parts of the shoes running (aha), Nike has also included a wireless charging pad alongside these shoes. The new Nike Adapt BB will be made available starting this February with a price tag of USD 350 (about RM 1435) although their release date for Malaysia is not yet known at the moment. (Source: Nike)
