We’ve known that the Nokia 9PureView will be armed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, rather than the more powerful Snapdragon 855 chipset. This has been confirmed during the official announcement. We now also know that it will come with 6GB RAM and an internal storage capacity of 128GB. https://twitter.com/Qualcomm/status/1099702522195968001 Other bits of its spec sheet have also been revealed; its features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ OLED display with Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensor built-in, as well as support for wireless charging for its 3320mAh battery. It also comes with an IP67 rating, but the way it’s implemented prevents it from supporting external storage.
But definitely, the most impressive part of the Nokia 9 PureView is the five cameras found around the back. All of them are 12MP shooters, with two of them being RGB sensors with the remaining three monochrome sensors. All five of them will take their own shot simultaneously whenever you take a photo, and the Nokia 9 fuses them all into a single image. This allows your shots to retain as much detail as monochrome sensors, without losing a large portion of colour as a compromise.
To let you make full use of this feature, the Nokia 9 PureView also allows you to save your shots in RAW format, and you can then edit them using Adobe Lightroom on the Nokia 9 PureView itself. You can also adjust the depth of field after taking the shot, letting you add your portrait bokehs during your editing process. The Nokia 9 PureView is priced at US$699 (~RM2849) and is expected to ship out the week after MWC 2019. That said, we’ll have to wait a little longer for local pricing and availability to be announced.
