One of it is the 90Hz refresh rate for its 6.65-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. Not only that it is much higher than the majority of phones out there, but users can also still choose to reduce the refresh rate to 60Hz for better game compatibility or just set it to auto.
Additionally, Nubia has also implemented a tiny fan into the phone that works together with its copper-based “liquid cooling” heat pipe in order to dissipate heat from the new Red Magic 3. The company claimed that the new thermal solution increases the heat dissipation by 500% which in theory should make long-hours gaming session on the phone more bearable. Being a gaming phone, one would expect that the device to contain a top of the range processor in which Red Magic 3 certainly doesn’t disappoint with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. Additionally, it can also be obtained with 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. Camera-wise, the Red Magic 3 comes with a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor in its f/1.7 rear camera and 16MP f/2.0 front camera. A whopping 5000mAh battery completes the phone’s general specifications.
In terms of price, the variant with 6GB RAM is being listed at CNY 2,899 (~RM 1,779) with 64GB storage and CNY 3,199 (~RM 1,963) for the unit with 128GB storage. The variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage on another hand goes for CNY 3,499 (~RM 2,147) while the maxed out model with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage is priced at CNY 4,299 (~RM 2,638). Red Magic 3 will be released in China starting from 3 May and global rollout will follow later that month although we don’t have any words on whether Nubia intends to release the device in Malaysia or otherwise. We’ll keep you posted once we hear more from the company. (Source: Nubia China.)
