The first brand on the list to show off the non-Ti version of NVIDIA’s Turing-powered GTX card is EVGA. The brand will feature two models – Black and Ultra. The Black model of the GTX 1660 sports a single-fan cooling solution, while the Ultra model is physically longer and sports a dual-fan cooling solution. In regards to the latter, you’ll notice that the PCB is considerably shorter than the overall cooler. Making it similar to NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1060 Founders Edition card when it first launched.
Moving down the list, Gigabyte seems to also-ran be releasing just two GTX 1660 models – “OC” and Gaming OC”. Aesthetically, both the cards look similar. The only difference being that the OC version sports a dual-fan cooling solution, while the Gaming OC variant has three. Last on the list is MSI’s own custom GTX 1660, of which there are three versions. These versions are the Gaming X with Twin Frozr VI, Armor OC edition, and the Ventus XS OC Edition. Additionally, MSI is reportedly working on a Ventus C and Aero ITX variant of the card, and both models will also have OC and non-OC variants.
Just like the GTX 1660 Ti, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 is based on the brand’s TU116 Turing GPU architecture. Specs-wise, the card will feature 6GB GDDR5 graphics memory, 1408 CUDA cores, a 192-bit memory bus. For a combined memory bandwidth of 192GB per second. By default, the GPU’s default base and boost clockspeeds are set at 1530MHz and 1785MHz, respectively. Naturally, the boost clockspeeds may differ from manufacturer to manufacturer.
