The demonstration comes in the form of Bethesda and id Software’s DOOM Eternal, and more to the point, the demo was conducted with the game running at 4K resolution. As a comparison point, NVIDIA also pitted the RTX 3080 against a Turing-powered graphics card, the RTX 2080 Ti. As you can see from the video, both cards had no issue holding their respective framerates above the 60fps mark while running at 4K. The main highlight of the video, though, is how the RTX 3080 is able to consistently keep its framerates above 100fps at the same resolution, while the RTX 2080 Ti is shown to only go above 100fps on occasion only. In addition to the higher frame count of the RTX 3080, you can see that the response rate for the card is also lower, and while you won’t notice it unless you pay really close attention. You can see that the frame transitions of the card are also smoother than the ones running with RTX 2080 Ti.

Once again, this is one of the only videos online that showcase the prowess of the RTX 3080, with the only other video showing off the card’s performance coming from Digital Foundry. Sadly, Leadbetter made it clear that he was not allowed to any intricate details about the card beyond some game running at 4K resolution, and with their framerates capped at 60fps.
