The announcement was first posted on the OnePlus’ forum by the founder and CEO Pete Lau. In his post, he briefly states that India will be the first market to receive the OnePlus TV, but fell short of explaining as to why he isn’t targeting other markets simultaneously. On a related note, Lau does mention that his team is also working hard to launch the OnePlus TV in North America, Europe and China markets. As soon as the brand is able to establish partnerships with the respective local and regional content providers.
Alas, the post itself doesn’t actually contain any details, not even general specifications. At most, Lau merely says that it will have “great image and sound quality”, all housed within a “remarkable design and interconnectivity”.
