The Pokemon Company announced the delay via the official TCG Twitter account. In it, the company says the reason for pushing back the Pokemon TCG Live beta was to provide a more polished experience. Unfortunately, no details where shared as to what aspect of the game still needed polishing.

The company says that they will be valid on the existing Pokemon TCG Online game. Which is only fair since the new version’s release has been pushed back. No new dates were provided as for when the open beta will be, well, open. At least not beyond the wide window of 2022. The Pokemon Company says that it will share more soon on both the beta and full launch of the new Pokemon TCG Live.
