Specifically, the Snapdragon 750G comes equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X52 5G Modem-RF system. The modem supports both the mmWave and sub-6GHz spectrum, SA and NSA modes, TDD, FDD, and Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS). Specs-wise, the new chipset is built around an 8nm die lithography and runs on a Kryo 570 64-bit, octa-core CPU, capable of reaching speeds of up to 2.2GHz. In addition, the CPU is paired with Qualcomm’s own Adreno 619 mobile GPU that the brand says offers up to 10% better performance over its predecessor.
The Snapdragon 750G also supports 120Hz refresh rate for on-device displays, plus HDR for gaming. As with the majority of Qualcomm’s most recent SoC lineup, this chipset is also paired with its own AI Engine. As for camera support, Qualcomm says the Snapdragon 750G can support a single camera sensor with a maximum resolution of 192MP or a dual-camera setup with resolutions of up to 32MP each. The Snapdragon 750G is slated for commercial availability this year, with Qulacomm aiming to have it out to the masses by the end of 2020.
