As indicated by its name, the Raptor 27 is a gaming monitor fitted with a 27-inch non-glare IPS panel. Specs-wise, the display is a 1440p panel (2560 x 1440) with a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz and a 1ms ultra-low motion blue response time. It also has a maximum brightness of 400 nits and is THX certified, a point that Razer is eager to point out that no other monitor on the market has received. The Raptor 27’s display also has thin bezels, allowing for more screen real estate. On another note, the monitor also has a large base to prop it up, along with RGB LED built into the edges that undoubtedly sync with Razer’s own Chroma RGB software.
Moving on, the Raptor 27 is also an NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible monitor and supports AMD’s FreeSync Premium display technology. Ports-wise, we’re looking at one DisplayPort 1.4 port, a HDMI 2.0b port, USB-C, and two USB-a 3.2 Gen1 ports. The Razer Raptor 27 is expected to be available globally sometime during the third quarter of this year and will retail at US$799.99 (~RM3313). No local availability or pricing has been announced just yet.
Aside from the Blade 14 and Raptor 27, Razer also revealed that it had its own USB-C Gallium Nitrate (GaN) Charger. In regards to its technical specifications, it has a maximum output of 130W, but do note that the power delivery changes depending on the number of devices connected to it. Ports-wise, you’re looking at two USB-C and two USB-A ports respectively. Not only that, but the brand is considerate enough to bundle the charger with two detachable adapters plugs.
As for availability, Razer says that its 130W USB-C GaN charger can already be purchased from its online store at an SRP of US$179.99 (~RM745). However, there is still no local pricing or availability and if you visit the store right now, the product is currently being listed as “Out of Stock”.
