In a blog post, executive producer Drew McCoy said that the team is pushing out plans for future Titanfall games to fully focus on Apex Legends. He also mentioned that no staff is being transferred between the two teams that Respawn currently employs. The two titles being Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, naturally.

And indeed, Respawn has been putting a lot of effort into improving Apex Legends. In February, Respawn has already banned over 16000 cheaters. More recently, the developer has also announced that it will only be pushing seasonal updates so as to not overtax its employees. Ultimately, this just means that there won’t a new Titanfall game this year, but also opens up the possibility that maybe (just maybe) Respawn would release the game in 2020. We’re just hoping that the company doesn’t decide to shelve the game in its entirety over the next few months. (Source: EA via USgamer)
