According to XDA Developers, the latest update that comes with the Find My Mobile app will now allow users to track their lost device by using another Samsung Galaxy phone even if the device does not have an active internet connection turned on. If you were wondering, yes, the updated app will also allow you to track the location of your Galaxy wearables should they be connected to your Galaxy phone.
As noticed from the screenshot posted on Twitter by one of XDA Developer’s team member, Max Weinbach, the Find My Mobile app will display a notification prompting Samsung Galaxy users if they wish to turn the offline feature on. Users who wish to enable this feature will then be directed to its settings page for them to turn on the offline finding feature. While Find My Mobile currently only works as a web service for Samsung Galaxy devices in Malaysia, users who have yet to explore this service can do so by following the link here. With added features to the app now, we can only wait until Samsung introduces the app version in Malaysia too. (Source: XDA Developers)
