Listed on the agency’s database on 8 February as the SM-G975F/DS, it was somehow removed from the database earlier today though. Luckily, we managed to snap a screenshot of the listing though:
The listing above has pretty much confirmed the inclusion of 802.11ax and reverse wireless charging capability into the upcoming phone. In case you missed it, both of these features were recently noted in the FCC filing by Samsung as well. Based on our past experiences, it usually didn’t take long – within a month – for Samsung to bring its flagship devices into our market. Given the Galaxy S10 Plus’ listing on the SIRIM’s database, this could be the case too.
Interestingly, Galaxy S10 Plus is not the only new Samsung phone that has passed through SIRIM’s inspection though. There is also the Galaxy M20 which made its global debut in India recently and somehow was not removed from SIRIM’s database unlike the Galaxy S10+:
It is slightly hard to guess what game plan that the Korean company might have for the device or rather, the whole Galaxy M series in Malaysia since it is an all-new series from the company. That being said, Galaxy M series could be an important product lineup for Samsung over here given its sub-RM 1000 price range which aligns the series directly into a very popular market segment in Malaysia. All in all, it looks like Samsung Malaysia might have a number of interesting announcements to make very soon. We’ll keep you posted, as always. (Source: SIRIM Database.
