And that looks like what people from Reddit and ResetEra have found. A few lines in the code pertains to the way the PS5 handles backwards compatibility. From them, it looks like Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) will periodically add games to the console’s backwards compatibility list via system updates. Some PS4 games that will benefit from the new console’s extra graphics crunching powers will also come with the “PS5 boost mode enabled” label.
There are also a couple of lines detailing parties. They suggest that it’s possible to organise groups of up to 100 people, which sounds quite excessive. Users can share video clips, songs, artists, albums. Separately, there’s a new action referred to as a “takedown”, but for now there’s no indication as to what it is. Whether or not these are actually found on the PS5 though, we’ll have to wait until either SIE announces them, or the console gets into our hands. Though it’s possible that the latter may happen later rather than sooner, based on recent reports on the console’s supply. (Source: Reddit, ResetEra)
