The images come via a PlayStation blog post, which shows a very rounded look compared to the first generation headset. It’s a slight departure compared to the quite blocky predecessor, and matches the aesthetics of the VR2 Sense controllers. While on the subject, The surfaces of the headset will also come with thousands of tiny PlayStation face button logos, the way they appear on the PS5 console. It’s not just the matching looks either. SIE says that the new PS VR2 headset is both slimmer and lighter than the first generation headset. That would mean that it would be more comfortable to wear. And this is achieved while still adding features to the new headset, like a motor for headset feedback. There’s also a vent, which probably contributes to the weight reduction, but more importantly, helps prevent fogging. All that being said though, there’s still no price or release date for the PlayStation VR2. But if you’re big into VR, the first generation headset would still be the one to use, until PS5 exclusive VR titles start showing up. (Source: PlayStation)
