The company says that on top of providing users with more functions and flexibility, this latest addition also paves way for its cashless payment platform’s expansion into the digital financial services space. DuitNow’s online cash transfer approach enables the e-wallet’s users to receive funds from registered banks by simply providing their phone number or TnG eWallet account number during the transaction. Cash that is transferred to the app via the service will automatically be added to the user’s e-wallet balance. In order to use this feature, first you’ll need to make sure that your TnG eWallet is linked to your DuitNow account (if you don’t have one, you can register by clicking here). To link to the service, simply head over to your Profile in the e-wallet app, tap on the DuitNow button, and then select “Link your eWallet with DuitNow”. Alternatively, you may also activate the feature by scanning the QR code that can be found on TnG eWallet’s official website via this link. Keep in mind that the maximum amount of funds that you are allowed to receive via DuitNow are dependent on the TnG eWallet tier that you’re on. To recap, the three tiers offered by the platform comprise of Lite, Pro and Premium, which allows for a balance cap of RM200, RM5,000 and RM20,000 respectively. (Source: TnG eWallet press release)
