The purported images were first posted by serial leakster Ice universe (@UniverseIce). At a glance, the photos seem to only show Samsung’s upcoming plus-sized flagship. However, upon closer inspection of the phone’s reflection, you can actually see the alleged iPhone model and its camera module.
— Ice universe (@UniverseIce) July 31, 2019 Ice Universe believes this iPhone to be Apple’s 2019 model of the iPhone XR; the phone is obviously being masked by a developer’s casing, but the cutout section on the cover is made where Apple’s logo is typically located. Further, the main camera module appears identical to concept renders. Suggesting that a dual-camera system will be built within a new square-like module. As interesting as this is, many netizens have expressed scepticism and doubt over the Note10+ itself. One particular Twitter user has suggested that the image is doctored, and understandably so; while the phone’s display seems wrapped in the ubiquitous plastic sheet, the two cutouts at the top are not aligned or symmetrical.
As for the alleged iPhone, a closer look at the camera module shows some image warping, which also lends further doubt over the authenticity of these images. While we won’t be getting any official information over the new iPhone anytime soon, we can at least take solace in the fact that we’ll all be getting our answer about the Samsung Galaxy Note10+ next week. So, until then, do take this news with large pinch of salt.
