One of its main highlights is the fact that the APEX 2019 does not carry any physical buttons. Instead, the phone utilizes capacitive touch and pressure sensors on its side as the alternative to standard physical volume and power buttons.
Vivo has also opted not to equip the APEX 2019 with the usual USB charging and data port. Instead, the company came out with a magnetic power connector called MagPort which is located on the lower back part of the phone and supports data transfer. Other than that, users are able to unlock APEX 2019 by scanning their fingerprints on almost any part of the phone’s display. Vivo has also confirmed that the APEX 2019 is its first 5G smartphone which is not surprising since the phone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. It also comes standard with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage although the company didn’t reveal further information regarding the device.
Among the information regarding the phone that Vivo didn’t disclose in its official announcement for APEX 2019 includes camera specs, battery capacity, and charging time. Not to forget, there is no information about its actual release date or pricing as well but then again, Vivo might be saving all these info for MWC 2019 next month.
