Let’s start with the higher-end model; the Redmi Note 9 Pro which share the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor with the Redmi Note 9S. Equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, the phone goes for sale on 18 May for RM 1,099 although the pre-order program which offers a free the Redmi 10000mAh power bank starts from today onwards.
As for the Redmi Note 9 which is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 processor, the phone is priced at RM 749 for the 4GB/128GB variant while there’s also 3GB/64GB option that goes for RM 649. Just like the Pro model, the standard Note 9 model will also be available on 18 May. However, it seems that the Note 9 3GB/64GB variant will be first made available through Shopee, in which can be obtained for a slightly lower price of RM 599 as part of the launch promo. Those who prefer the 4GB/128GB model can pre-order it from today until 17 May and receive the Redmi 10000mAh power bank for free. Once you add the Redmi Note 9S which is priced from RM 799 to RM 899 into the picture, it looks like the Redmi Note 9 series has tactfully covered almost the full spectrum of the mid-range market in Malaysia. For the upper mid-range market, it is generally the responsibility of the Mi Note 10 series who has also received a new model today in which we going to talk about in the next report
