The smart band sports a 1.62-inch AMOLED screen in an oblong shape just like its predecessors and is also noticeably larger when compared to the 1.52-inch display of its predecessor, the Smart Band 6. There are no physical buttons, therefore controls are done solely via its touchscreen. In addition, it also has over 100 custom watch faces for personalisation. As a fitness tracker, the Smart Band 7 supports over 110 sports modes so you can accurately track your workout progress. That being said, there is no built-in GPS, so you will have to bring your phone along to track your routes. It is also certified with water resistance up to 5ATM, so you can take the band out for a swim with no issue. It also has a bunch of health tracking features, including all-day blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) monitoring, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and menstrual cycle tracking. The smart band will also give you a professional workout analysis using your VO2 Max levels, which is the maximum rate of oxygen consumption during exercise. The band offers the same 14-day battery life as its predecessor that charges via a proprietary magnetic cable, though oddly enough, the same device is advertised with 15-day battery life on Xiaomi’s China website. The company also does not mention how long it will take to charge the device after its battery is depleted. The new Smart Band 7 goes on sale on Xiaomi’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada starting 25 June and as mentioned above, early birds will get to purchase it at a lower price of RM169. After the promo ends, it will be sold at RM199. (Source: Xiaomi Malaysia/Facebook)
