Through the new SmartOrder feature, customers can actually check out the menu of the outlet directly on their WeChat app. From there, they can then choose, submit, and pay their order without even the need to interact with the staff of the outlet:

In conjunction with the launch of SmartOrder, WeChat Pay Malaysia is offering some discount at all of the F&B outlets that support the new feature. According to the list released by the company, there are currently 44 such outlets which are located in Klang Valley, Melaka, Johor, Penang, and Perak. While there is nothing extraordinary anymore about QR-based payment system since it already quite common in our market, the new SmartOrder feature is certainly one of those interesting addition to WeChat Pay Malaysia that could differentiate it and other e-wallets in the market.
